La Game Critics Awards es una organización independiente compuesta por periodistas de revistas especializadas en videojuegos, como Gamespot o Edge, y por periodistas de medios más genéricos como Time y The Washington Post.
Cada año, tras el E3, la Game Critics Awards anuncian los mejores juegos presentados en esta feria y otorgan los correspondientes premios. De momento ya han anunciado los nominados, entre los cuales destacan LittleBigPlanet con cinco nominaciones, Gears of War 2 y Left 4 Dead tienen cuatro nominaciones, mientras que Spore, Mirror’s Edge y Fallout 3, se quedan con otras tres nominaciones.
